What Is a Substrate Sign?

Signs have a large variety of materials and substrates to which they can be printed on or mounted. A substrate is basically the underlying material, or base, on which a sign is built or installed on top of.
Now, most substrates can be used for multiple applications, however, that does not mean they will all fair the same under the same conditions. Because of this, it is important to have a clear idea of how and where the sign you want to create will be installed.
